Welcome to the Kids First Data Resource Portal! We are committed to creating a high quality genomic data resource for the discovery of the underlying causes of pediatric cancer and structural birth defects. We are eager to support your research!

Please use the pages within this Help Center to guide you through specifics about the tools in the Kids First Portal. If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at support@kidsfirstdrc.org and a member of our team will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Kids First DRC Monthly Office Hours

Kids First DRC Monthly Office Hours are held in collaboration with Velsera and the INCLUDE DCC. Join each month on the third Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm ET for an opportunity to speak with the DRC’s technical experts and meet other Kids First researchers. Whether you’re just getting started or an advanced user, all are welcome to attend!

Logging In

The Kids First Data Resource Portal can be accessed at https://portal.kidsfirstdrc.org.

Users have the option of logging in using one of three options:

Google

Google: Any Google-authenticated email address can be used to login, including those any @gmail.com address and those at many institutions. Any email address can become Google-authenticated by being registered here.

ORCID

Using an ORCID as your username and password will also allow you to log into the Kids First Portal.

NIH Research Auth Service (Recommended)

The NIH Research Authentication Service (RAS) is our recommended login method for users with NIH eRA Commons IDs. This option will allow for easier integration of data access approvals during analysis.

First Timer? Registration takes two minutes!

If this is your first time navigating to the Kids First Portal, it is very easy to create an account. Anyone can create an account, even if you haven’t applied for access to Kids First genomic data yet. After choosing one of the same three options above, you will also be asked to agree to our Data Use Terms and Conditions as well as answer a few questions about yourself.

Users need to agree to the terms and conditions upon logging into the Kids First Portal for the first time.
