The Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) covers the latest discoveries across the spectrum of cancer research—from population science and prevention; to cancer biology, translational, and clinical studies; to survivorship and advocacy—and highlights the work of the best minds in cancer research and medicine from institutions all over the world. AACR will hold its 2019 Annual Meeting from March 29 to April 3 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
At this world-class meeting of cancer experts, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Common Fund-supported Gabriella Miller Kids First Data Research Center (儿童第一刚果民主共和国) will present an exhibition, where attendees can learn more about the recently-launched Gabriella Miller Kids First Data Resource Portal and related datasets. In addition to structural birth defect data, the portal currently has two cancer-specific datasets available for access: the Pediatric Brain Tumor Atlas (PBTA) and a dataset focused on the genetic risk of Ewing sarcoma. The Kids First DRC Exhibition Booth will be located on the Exhibitor Floor in booth number 4162.
Released in September of 2018, the PBTA is comprised of data from over 30 different types of pediatric brain tumors representing over 1,000 subjects. Data types include matched tumor/normal, whole genome data (WGS), RNAseq, proteomics, longitudinal clinical data, imaging data including MRIs and radiology reports, histology slide images, and pathology reports. Also released in September 2018, the Ewing sarcoma dataset includes whole genome sequence data and trio-based variants from over 1,000 subjects.

Throughout the week-long meeting, Kids First DRC experts in platform development and genomic and phenotypic harmonization, as well as representatives from the NIH will be on-hand at the exhibition booth to hold live Portal demonstrations and walkthroughs, answer questions, and provide additional information. Meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how they can apply for cloud storage and compute credits to support analysis of Kids First data on Cavatica.
Personnel within the Kids First DRC Administrative & Outreach Core, Data Resource Portal Core, and Data Coordination Core, as well as a number of Kids First X01 Investigators specializing in pediatric cancers will also be presenting posters and presentations throughout the event:
